Rick and Holly Hartman = HOMETEC Architecture, since 1987.
Rick is an Architect and General Contractor, Holly is a Realtor with Fireside Realty and CFO with HOMETEC (an overstatement, really, since numbers, magic and telling jokes are all outside of my skillset, way outside).
We’ve lived in Silicon Valley since Junior High (except for a brief stint in SoCal for college) and love it here.
Holly has a couple blogs: My Better House, I and My Friends and Our Budget Yacht.

I HAVE ONE LIKE IT AND I KNOW WHERE I GOT IT, MY FATHER MADE THEM FOR PREMIUMS FOR CUSTOMERS OF OUR FIBREGLASS FACTORY BACK IN THE 1960’S IN SUMMIT,IL. WE HAD THE MOLD AND WOULD GIVE A UNFINISHED HULL TO A BIG CUSTOMER OR SELL THEM RATHER CHEAPLY, SINCE FIBREGLASS WAS NOT TOO EXPENSIVE BACK THEN. I GUESS YOURS IS WOOD. BACK THEN WE UNDERSTOOD THAT IT WAS AN OWL CLASS DINGHY.
I purchased it from an ad on Craig’s list.He said he dragged it behind his sailboat down from Alaska. I don’t know where he got it. The dingy is solid fiberglass with Teak seats and edge rail. It all refinished nicely. It is a bit on the heavy side, but it pulls well. I finished it to match my Islander. I have a bunch of photos of the work.
We don’t have a sailboat, but we sure enjoy Rick & Holly’s! Looking forward to getting back to Discovery Bay with family! We love you guys and we’re looking forward to being with the family at Thanksgiving! We are pretty healthy or our 80s, and we keep very busy. Harvey is still real estate appraising. And Jan keeps busy. My hobby us sewing. I also teach Good News Club every Thursday. I go to Women’s Bible Study every Tuesday. Harvey leads a home Bible Study group every Wednesday evening. We attend Church of the Foothills here in Cameron Park. We love being with family and friends! And we love the Lord Jesus and serving Him! God bless you all!
